I expected us to struggle at the beginning of the year, but we shouldn't be losing to UNO. Way too much talent on this team.

Serious question….is there talent on this team because “we got recruits”? Or bc it’s legitimate talent that other high profile teams across the nation were also after?

Infielders/Outfielders:

1. Max Anderson was the Big 10 freshman of the year last season and a freshman All-American. His batting average was .332. He's pretty talented.

2. Brice Matthews was a top 100 player in Texas in HS and last year he was on the All Big 10 freshmen team all regional team. He's pretty talented.

3. Cam Chick was 2nd team all big 10 in 2019 and made the Big 10 all-freshman team in 2019. He was an all-american in high school.

4. Jack Steil was the top-ranked shortstop prospect in Minnesota coming out of high school.

5. Leighton Banjoff earned freshman all-american honors in 2020.

6. Core Jackson was the #3 prospect in Ontario coming out of high school.

7. Luke Jessen was the top ranked outfield prospect in Nebraska coming out of high school.

8. Garret Anglim was also ranked the top outfield prospect in Nebraska coming out of high school.

9. Josh Caron was the 2nd ranked catcher prospect coming out of high school in Wisconsin.

10. Griffin Everett was on the Fayettville all regional team last year.

I think this group should be scoring more runs than they have been. Pitching has gotten better.
