per Bruntz:
Nebraska had largely been quiet in California recruiting over the past few months, securing a single commitment from the state in the last recruiting cycle.
The Huskers made an interesting junior college offer on Wednesday night, as Nebraska defensive coordinator Tony White extended an offer to Santa Monica College (Calif.) defensive back Jarius Thurman.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Thurman just wrapped up his freshman season at Santa Monica College, appearing in seven games and making 31 tackles, adding two interceptions and a fumble recovery.
Thurman played his high school football at Venice High School and Crespi High School in Southern California and was unrated by 247Sports out of high school.
