I wish they did more as well, but they're not built around public donations from regular Joe Husker fan. And I believe they're missing out on $1.5M to $2.5M per year.
Oh I’m sure 95% + of the donations come from a small % of donors.
But they could do a golf tournament with silent auctions.
Monthly dinners for $200 a head and let a 100 fans in. Get current coaches if possible, players, former players to talk.
More public interaction to drum up excitement.

They seem to just rest on their laurels and take the easy way.
There’s plenty of way to get more community and business action coming in if they put in the time.

I'm on the same page as you, except the easy way part I disagree with.

And it would likely cover baseball ☺️

Don't. Get. Me. Started. Thanks!

An educated guess.

10% educated, 90% guess.

Our staff didn't even know about it till current players parents brought it to their attention.
I think you posted here or I wouldn't have known about it. It wasn't very well advertised for sure. Had a pretty good turnout though. Would think they'd be able to do several for football through the summer if they advertised them.

So take this with a grain of salt as it’s a poster on Facebook, as I’m asking here to see if there’s ANY truth to it. Poster on Facebook said they were at an 1890 NIL fundraiser that had Dean speaking at it, he said we are going to have $20 mil NIL to access yearly for ALL sports not just football. That is in part because eventually the NCAA is going to basically put a “salary cap” on NIL within the NCAA. My first thought about that is I think this poster got the coming revenue sharing model confused with NIL. As I understand it NIL isn’t really something the NCAA can regulate is it? I can understand them being able to regulate revenue sharing as that does come from the university but NIL funding is private correct?
