I've seen places mention Palmer's 4.33, but not a lot of other info on the NFL combine results.

Here's Mathis - he was middle of the pack for his position group in almost everything, best result was #4 in the 20 yard shuttle:

Vokolek didn't do many of the tests, he was T5 in bench press reps & tied for last in broad jump in his position group:

Palmer only ran the 40 for tests. Fastest 40 WR there, T8 for 10 yard split.

How does Mathis have a higher grade than Trey?

My guess would be his route running is that bad. You can get away with being sloppy in college, but in the pros, everything is so timing based, you better be where the QB thinks you're gonna be or you won't be playing much. That's the only logical reason I can come up with.

Do you think Mathis will get drafted higher than Trey?

Oh yes, I agree with you. I was just trying to offer a plausible reason why his grade would be lower. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Mathis doesn't even get drafted. Dude was the definition of mediocre.
I figured Mathis needed to have a big combine to get drafted. If anything he underwhelmed. Considering he was the 3rd best OLB on a mediocre to bad defense I don't get it.

Same. It's actually his combine numbers that lead me to believe he won't get drafted. Basically didn't show up on film all season and then didn't show up at the combine. Very underwhelming.

I don’t know how these grades work but it’s possible that he was graded on a curve because pass rushers are so coveted
Sure but to me the draft grade should be representative of where they go in the draft. Edge guy gets a curve up and WR gets a curve down.

Still, Mathis being a little bit higher draft grade would make sense if he went within a round of Trey. Sounds like Trey is going to be a late 2nd to 3rd compared to Mathis UDFA practice squad career.
