Idk about all of this. But I will say that it appeared the overwhelming majority opinion around the country was that Deion would sign every recruit he wanted to and have Colorado in the top 20 in the first two years.

That is absolutely ridiculous and totally unrealistic.

Colorado is in shambles and is basically dead. They hired Deion because they simply can’t be in any worse of a spot if it doesn’t work out with him. For the first time since they beat us in 2001 they were the talk of the college football world.

Now that the dust has settled and people realize how much work there truly is to do at Colorado; it appears that the opinion Deion is talented enough to turn Colorado into a top 20 team in 2 years has faded very fast.

Success for Colorado would be to win 3 games next year and be bowl eligible in 2024 with 6 wins. I would be impressed with that if Deion and staff manages that. Colorado has been Charlie Weis era Kansas bad.

I watched bits and pieces of their national championship game and all I kept wondering was if anyone on the field weighed more than 110 pounds. Deion’s kid can’t possibly be more than 180.
