Man, Hoiberg is turning it up....imagine what he'll be able to do when he starts winning games.

I have no idea where they're at with this now, but as of a few weeks ago there was interest from another 2027 5 star Ryan Hampton as well.

Doubt they're getting both but one would obviously be pretty cool.

Would be cool if we got a 5-star or two. But I hope it is the right 5-star that blends into what we are doing on offfense. Not the Bryce McGowens kind of 5-star where it was like "OK, Bryce hasn't shot the ball in the last two possessions, so it is time for everyone to stand off to the side and watch Bryce go 1-on-2 and shoot a contested 16-foot jumper."

I wouldn't mind a 5 star point guard like a TJ Ford type from back in the day that is just a stud handler of the ball and penetrates to find the open guy.

Extreme minority here, but against 5* hoops players. Continue on with the last 3 years recruiting and let it ride.

I had enough of Bryce McGowens in 1 season. Give me the portal guys like Williams, Sandfort and Mast. Plus, we get them for more than one season, which has become extremely beneficial to Hoiberg.

If we get a five star I just hope it's of the super athletic, insane rebounding and defensive intensity variety.

Same. I think there are 5 stars who make sense for what Fred does now, but they can't be ball dominant

Sure it's possible. IMO, it's limited to a shooting guard or point forward like Mast (obviously more skilled/athletic than Rienk).

Other positions, they will have to be extremely unselfish & willing to work on the defensive end.

Brayden Burries is the most underrated player in college basketball

Correction only Brayden Burries and Koa Peat (husker links there) start for Arizona. The other 5 star frosh comes off the bench

If we’re going to bring in a blue chip freshman i’d prefer it be a big. See Dybansta, Boozer, Peat, etc.

Like you said with McGowens, the ball tends to get stuck sometimes when it comes to the young great guards
