My favorite testicle injury story is a friend who got a vasectomy.

The doctor he was scheduled with had a student with him. Experienced doc does the first side, then has his student do the other. During the second side, the student goes "do I cut here?", and the doctor gives a quick and urgent "NO!"

Anyway, my friend was severely lopsided during recovery. We like to remind him of that often.
