I don't blame Berke for that loss at all. Next to Sam, Berke is the best defender on this team and can actually guard 1-5 at ease.
I love Berke's D and energy, we just need him to finish. If we are indeed going to make a run, he has to finish at the hoop. Probably had 8 points we missed out on the second half because he couldn't finish.

Tough loss. Learned a lot about this team last night. Get healthy and our minds right, this group can go a long way into the dance.

I expect them to be out for blood come the Illinois game.

Some losses ultimately, are very productive for a team in a number of ways.

That game last night was one of those I believe.

It was very clear to me, watching those post gam interviews, that they (players) were angry with that result.

My take, we will look back on that game as a big reason we make a deep run in March.

We lost because we made 2 baskets the last 6 minutes of the game. That's it. Worn down scorers that just couldn't get it to drop.

Correct NU only made 2, but UM also only made 2 FG's in the last 9:36 minutes of the game, but were bailed out by FT's. If the game was called even remotely even, I would probably expect a different outcome.

Were any of the calls against NU NOT fouls...? I can't really think of one that wasn't a foul. I also think we got away with some contact on drives that could have been called. NU didn't press the issue on the offensive end to get into the bonus. I get why, but it cost them at the end of the game. Settled for too many 3s early in the second half.

Some of those rebounding foul calls were bullshit. Michigan is all over the back of Price and Hoiberg and they call the foul on THEM. If the argument on the charge is "gotta let them play" then the same should be said about rebounding calls.

I remember 2 of those that stuck out to me as fouls on NU. Sam on one and Cale on another where they undercut them on the boxout after they left the ground. Those are fouls.

The lack of fouls called against us on the offensive end isn’t going to be your traditional drive to the basket and get bumped type fouls just because this team doesn’t dribble much. It’s the grabs, bumps and restrictions of our off ball movements that the refs have been dogshit at calling dating back to two seasons ago with Kesei. Our guys have been getting molested all conference play.

Instead, they reward dudes putting their head down and powering their way to the basket with bail out calls instead of passing and off ball movement.

There's also the giant miss of a charge on their go ahead bucket. GIANT miss.

Berke and Lawrence getting hacked on the other end and nothing. Refs stole this one, plain and simple, but it’s ok - use it as fuel

What I found interesting also was the timing of fouls called, particularly in the first half. It seemed that every time Nebraska would get ANY type of momentum a dumb foul would be called to stem that momentum.

Careful. It doesn't matter where you look but if you read Michigan fan's comments today every single one of them will tell you that wasn't a foul. I think i've read about 200 comments saying it wasn't; either bc he was in the circle or his feet weren't set. Idt I've seen a single one admitting it was a charge.

And I've been telling those people to learn the rules. (sorry for AI response, but it sums it up better than I can)

Don’t get me started on the “foul” by Sam on that 3 point attempt where the dude jumped 8 feet forward.
