Just was talking with a friend about this. It’s so frustrating that we have an arena like PBA and fans that have proven they will support some shitty teams but yet we can’t get some more NIL to get us over the ledge. I’ll never understand it

NIL deals all over the country are disastrous. Just look at Kansas State (7-10) & Miami (4-14) as prime examples. There are no guarantees. Yes, there are great ones too but it's not like a cellar dweller is all of a sudden great because of NIL.

IMO, our NIL is more than enough for basketball. And our roster the last 2 seasons (last + this year) is a heck of an upgrade, with depth, because of our NIL. Holding players accountable (specific to Gary & Williams - when needed), stubbornness on defense, lack of creativity on offense in crunch time, questionable rotations, etc are way more of our problems then funds available to pay guys.

We blew a 15-point 2H lead at Ioa, with 5,000 people in attendance. We lost today to an average Maryland team ripe for a home loss with fans in the lower bowl & scattered throughout (no way it was 11K).

Down 3 with :20, with 1 timeout remaining & our last possession was dribble outside the arc and throw up a hail mary brick. The Terps guarded the 3 heavily. Take the gosh damn 2, and force them to make both free throws....

...Nope, with 4 seniors on the court - with a combined games played around 450-500 - we look like a bunch of retards. It's bad when John Beilein calls out a poor coaching decision as he rarely speaks ill of coaches. But today, he did.
