Nebraska's emotional follow up to that Michigan State game will be really interesting. Ohio State needs quad 1 wins, so I imagine their coach will have them motivated.

There are a few good things about this game being played on Monday, January 5th.

1. Ohio State fans are still reeling from that playoff loss. There is zero interest in Buckeyes basketball right now.

2. January 5th marks a date where people are working again. A lot of people take the a Christmas and New Year's weeks off. A game that might have drawn a nice walk up crowd last week, probably isn't top of mind tomorrow.

3. Students are still gone. That means the general public needs to pick up the slack. Not sure that happens.

That's the positive way to look at things. Nebraska's ability to fight back emotionally after that big win on Friday will be interesting. Nebraska really only gets one day to prepare for Ohio State. To be fair, Ohio State also only has one day of prep, but they don't have travel added in.

I will be pleasantly surprised if Nebraska wins this game, but I picked single digit win because why stop now?

Ohio State has the worst depth in the Big Ten. They are only getting production out of 6 players, and only play 7 most nights.

Their 6th man is Amare Bynum, a 6'8 true freshman from Omaha. He played high school ball in Branson at Link Academy. Big strong kid with ups. But he turns the ball over a lot.

Bruce Thornton is basically a thicker version of Brice Williams. He can drop 30 any night.

Ohio State has a solid 7 footer transfer from Santa Clara. But he does get into foul trouble. If you they can force him into fouls, it will really hurt Ohio State also because their younger bigs are very raw and struggle to score.

OSU is a good team . Will probably be an 8 or 9 seed in the tourney. Only lost to UNC by 1. Gonna be a battle

I think we lost at Cockeye 2 seasons ago after our big upset at home against Purdue on a short turnaround, and we had no juice that game. Hopefully same thing doesnt happen tomorrow

Ohio State had to travel back from Piscataway on friday night after an emotional comeback win, hopefully the quick turnaround hurts them too

The 2023 team couldn’t win away from home. This team may be better on the road which is crazy

Biggest difference between that 23-24 team and this current squad is assist to turnover ratio, ability to create turnovers, and protecting possessions with lack of turnovers.

But emotions will be key. How will this team respond?

This team takes after their coach. I was at the game and when they went down by 3 there was zero panic. Everyone was relaxed - complete opposite of Rhule on the sideline

If it comes down to managing emotions then this team will be in good shape

Favored vs MSU but dogs to OSU. Make it make sense.

BTW, metrics will probably start to even out the next week. At this point, only significant injuries will change spreads.

Going by ESPN Bpi, Nebraska will be favored in every game except the following:

at Ohio State
at Indiana
at Michigan
at Cockeye
Purdue
at USC
at UCLA

They will be favored at Northwestern, Minnesota, and Rutgers.

They are very small underdogs at USC. I do think that Purdue spread will also be close. They will also be small favorite over Illinois in Lincoln.

Should be ranked top 5, but those queers will maybe put us at 9

We’ll jump North Carolina, Michigan State and 1 (maybe 2) of… Vanderbilt, BYU, Houston or Gonzaga. Should definitely be ahead of BYU and probably Houston, but we’ll see what they do. Probably still some flaming homosexuals that won’t vote us in the top 10.
