Pretty ugly 20 point win

I got a little nervous when they cut it to single digits with under 10 to go. Offense flows better with Meah on the bench.

A couple observations:

The Turk definitely plays a little harder when he’s rewarded for defensive effort (which isn’t often).

Rollie will be that level headed floor general that will keep us in a lot of games.

I expected more from Uhlis.

Essegian can shoot but he struggles to get separation but it was a fairly vanilla offense

Griffith was disappointing to me.

I wish we had Lawrence back as he was lightning in transition.

Both can be true - the std’s and the loss hit me hard.

Also, I’m at an industry conference in Monterey, CA and the time zone coupled with the time change is kicking my ass.
You know what they say. If the gonorrhea doesn’t get you, the disappointing Huskers will.

Hopefully the weather is at least nice for you

Meah is only good when he’s under the basket. There should be very few reasons he steps out. If you watch him shoot in warm ups, it shows.

I agree on the Turk. There were a couple glimpses of him trying to get in the flow but it just didn’t happen tonight.

Rollie seemed to hold on to the ball a bit too long. I think he can be a floor general but he’s got to make things happen quicker.

I like Essegians shot. It’ll be beneficial at times. If Griffith would’ve hit a couple tonight I think we’d be saying the exact same thing.

Overall, I think tonight was weird. We hopefully won’t see a team basically refuse to shoot anything other than a 3. Out defense couldn’t get turnovers and our offense just never got in the flow of things.

If I wanted this level of hopelessness, I would have stuck to the football threads where it truly, truly is hopeless

I liked a few things last night. A couple rotations looked rough. Bad combo of guys on the floor. That stuff will work out

Certainly looks like more pieces and better quality depth

I didn't get a chance to watch but would file most things under "figuring shit out against teams that are little threat". Obviously if they lose its catastrophic but YOLO

They cut it to 4 pretty late. We have a few guys that need to play harder on defense.

Early season games go like this for most teams tho. I'm excited for the year

Please tell me you’re playing some golf while you’re there…

Defense looked a lot worse than last year. Feel like that was my only real concern. They can always figure it out as our defense is more of a system than it is relying on individual talent, but there were a ton of miscues last night against a pretty bad team.
