KU fired Mark Mangino because the cops kept getting called for him physically abusing his wife. Happened multiple times. KU did a great job covering it up but the AD Perkins lived 2 houses down from Mangino so he knew every time it happened. Mangino had serious anger and temper issues. Heck of an offensive mind but the players and asst coaches all generally hated him.
Jesus, was his wife super slow?

What are we getting next? I’d like to see us still get a skilled PG and athletic 3. Hoping Fred is getting some visits lined up this week.

New coach announced this week too?
Guessing that the assistant coach announcement may be next.

Other possible news would be Jacobsen to the portal to move down a level and have the chance to play more consistently.

Would love to see an athletic wing scorer, haven’t heard any names. I know they’re making a run at Kendall Blue from St. Thomas. 6’6 guard who shot 51% from the field and just under 42% from 3 this past season for St. Thomas

Don’t really have any other concrete names at the moment.

Just by reading around X, Wisconsin is pretty heavy after him as well

Matt Gatens still the guy? I had saw Robin was mentioning Brandon Ubel being interested

Names to 👀 per Washut:

Kendall Blue - St. Thomas
Will Cooper - Air Force

Cooper originally from Millard South. Washut put in a prediction for him to N.

After landing three portal commitments since Friday, there are still some names to keep an eye on Nebraska's transfer target front.

There are two players I've heard quite a bit about over the past week:

St. Thomas guard Kendall Blue

Kendall Blue - 2024-25 - Men's Basketball - The University of St. Thomas

Kendall Blue (1) Guard - Pronunciation Your browser does not support the audio tag. 2024-25 Played and started all 34 games for a third consecutive season......

On Blue:

I've heard from several people, including one connected source from his home state of Minnesota, that the 6-6 guard is definitely on NU's radar. We need to see if a visit happens, but some people have told me Nebraska might be the favorite there.

On Cooper:

The former Millard South product is back on the market after one year at Air Force. He put up modest numbers but ended the season averaging 11.0 ppg over the final month and shot 40% from three.

I've gone ahead and logged an RPM for Cooper to Nebraska. My guess is we'll know more on that one soon.

Cooper will replace Griffiths bench spot at least

Does anyone know how many spots Nebrasketball actually has left to fill?

Still think they need to be looking to add 1 more prominent scorer. The adds so far feel pretty good, but not quite good enough yet.
