It remains unclear whether Ausar will visit Villanova tomorrow. As of this afternoon, nothing had been confirmed on that front yet. He probably still makes the visit; it's just not 100% locked in. He's wrapping up his USC visit today.
I also get the sense that Villanova is scrambling a bit with like seven open scholarships to fill. They're bringing in a ton of visitors, so it's hard to say who their priority targets are right now.
My feeling is that if Villanova's money offer is at least in the same ballpark as Nebraska's, the Huskers should have a real chance to land Ausar. However, if the Wildcats double (triple?) NU's offer, it might be game over.
It's also notable that Ausar has family connections in LA, so the Trojans are still very much in the conversation.
When it comes to the best on-court fit and situation, though, I think Nebraska is the obvious choice.
Again, we should get an answer by this weekend.
