Nebrasketball 2024-25 Roster Ins/Outs

I wonder if we will go after 7-0 Noah Boyed from McCook CC. He had signed with Baylor in November but just announced he was in the portal. He's a tall athletic body that can rebound and block shots. Appears to have a decent handle and can hit a 15 footer but only averaged 10.9 pts/game this year at McCook CC

Also suffered a season ending knee injury in November.

Expecting Boyed to end up at FAU and not expecting Nebraska to pursue

Anyone else hearing smoke on 7-1 Center Braxton Meah from Washington that is in the portal? Has 1 year left. Blocks shots & rebounds but not the facilitator & outside shooter that Mast is. Transferred to Washington from Fresno St. Looks like he'd be more of that big bodied defensive & rebounding type player. Brings much needed size and post depth. Had a decent 2022-23 season at Washington as a starter but last season looks like he only started about half the games and his numbers went down.

Well he's probably a Dannen fan, so...

is this about a Creight0n Portal Player? Thought I saw some fans concerned with someone they got a commitment from

Write-up from RW.

The most pressing offseason roster need Nebraska still must fill is another piece in the low post. The Huskers hope Washington transfer big man Braxton Meah can fit that bill.

HuskerOnline confirmed that the 7-foot-1, 250-pound graduate transfer made his way to Lincoln for an official visit on Sunday and Monday. It will be his first visit since entering the NCAA Transfer Portal last week.

A native of Layton, Utah, Meah spent two seasons at Fresno State before joining the Huskies in 2022-23. He set career highs with 8.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game to earn Pac-12 All-Defense honors as a junior.

A lingering ankle and hand injury hindered him much this past season, but Meah played through the ailments and averaged 5.3 ppg and 5.3 rpg, leading UW with 27 blocked shots.

Most of his work offensively came at the rim, as he led the country in 2-point field goal percentage at 77%. He also ranked in the top 40 nationally with a career-high 25.7% defensive rebounding rate.

Head coach Fred Hoiberg and his staff have three available scholarships remaining for the 2024-25 season.

Looks like it was good info. Meah gives us that big back up center to match up with some of the monsters in the paint we occasionally face. Would love to add Milicic & Meah.
