Welcome to The Platinum Board. We are a Nebraska Husker news source and fan community.

I think it's important to not conflate "afford" with "want to". I think one of the big missing components in the university's analysis both with Tre.v and post-Tre.v is this idea that alienating people who currently pay money for seats can be easily replaced by people who will pay more money for seats.
Probably next to the tuba section (which will be an improvement from the existing obstructed view field level seating for the cripples)monkey where will i pull up my wheel chair to?
I wish I wasn’t poor. I would move my seats but I can’t afford itWhst they will find out is….removing grandfathered seating/licensing & increasing costs will substantially reduce demand
Even if we annually win 7-8 games a year. Few will commit much more than the price of a ticket. The people who “fill” the stadium are mostly a bunch of poors
South stadium will eventually be removed. & replaced by a giant scoreboard & “fanzone” with vastly reduced seating. Students & band will be moved to that end but doubtful they will remove 20k+ seats & replace with 20k seats
Probably more like 5-7k max
Dannen may have saved major egg on the face bc spending 600million to rebuild the South & the end result being you price out the poors would be colossally embarrassing
Nebraska is an anomaly getting 70-80k to show up weekly for bad football
Most places can’t get that support with good football
Eventually we will become a “walk up” fanbase, picking & choosing the games that are worthwhile when we are playing well
It comes down to winning big. Play like we have & the new price model will commonly result in a half empty stadium
So capacity is likely getting reduced so fans will have competition to pay up
Have you considered not being poor?I wish I wasn’t poor. I would move my seats but I can’t afford it
I’ve tried but my parents were poor too so it’s a generational thing. Only have season tickets because they are in my great great grandmas name.Have you considered not being poor?

Even the blue hairs (almost me), know that selling beer needs to happen asap. I would think they could almost fund the entire project, with proceeds off of beer.
They really don't make much off of beer sales. PBA only made like $300,000 from basketball last year.I think it's more about appealing to the youths of America, imo
I like drinking beers while watching sports and I still consider myself a youth so take your aggregate statistics and stick them up your butt PoindexterThey really don't make much off of beer sales. PBA only made like $300,000 from basketball last year.
As far as appealing to the youth of America, selling beer isn't going to do that either. Alcohol sales have decreased quite a bit in the younger generations to the point where we should be a little concerned. Alcohol sales are taxed quite a bit, so with less of them they'll have to start taxing something else.
What the hell do the zoomers even do in their free time? They really don't make much off of beer sales. PBA only made like $300,000 from basketball last year.

Weed, video games, Tik Tok.What the hell do the zoomers even do in their free time?
What would the University get from say, Budweiser or Miller, to be able to sell their beer? Just curious. They really don't make much off of beer sales. PBA only made like $300,000 from basketball last year.

Not sure what you mean. Those beers were already available at basketball games. I'm assuming they were available at the baseball games now as well. What would the University get from say, Budweiser or Miller, to be able to sell their beer? Just curious.
