**Nebraska vs. Maryland**

looks to be a Pickle Smoochers contributor, so take it with a grain of salt. but this still doesn't make any sense... Ohio State has been getting drilled (lost again by almost 30)

NET also takes into account things like offensive and defensive efficiency. We have a pretty low offensive efficiency compared to Ohio St.

This is still dumb though because winning ugly should still count for way more than losing pretty.

Is loss margin a metric? What about injuries? are injuries a metric? I would be interested to know.

If we're going down the losing pretty rabbit hole, then 2021 Nebraska football should have made the playoff, right? Right?? Best 3-9 team of all-time.

Injuries don't matter.

"The NET algorithm is composed of two parts: team value index (TVI) and an adjusted net efficiency rating. TVI is a result-based feature that rewards teams who beat quality opponents, especially on the road. Meanwhile, adjusted net efficiency accounts for strength of opponent, as well as game location (home, away, neutral).

It is also worth noting all games carry the same weight. So, a game played in November means the same as a game played in early March."

I think the adjusted efficiency part might be capped so running it.up by 100 on a shit team doesn't get rewarded too much

what a flawed system lol. I think it is said in the Tweet chain there, but D is UNC.
Florida is an even starker contrast. Nebraska, a .500 team with the 6th hardest schedule in the country is 92nd, but Florida, a .518 team with less Q1 wins, less Q2 wins, more Q3/Q4 losses, and the 18th hardest schedule is 53rd.

How you lose gets contemplated as well, getting smoked half the time hurts our net. Continue winning and your probably an NIT team, control what you can control

So losing "bad" will hurt at teams NET...but losing starters to injuries that may factor into a "bad" loss doesn't hurt a team's NET.

Nice NET algorithm....

It was an awesome atmosphere. Right when they needed the crowd to help push them over the top, they cut to Rhule sitting in one of the suites and he jumped up and started going crazy, which got the fans going crazy... That man seems to be at every Husker sporting even there if it's a fake passion for the place, then give the man a freaking Oscar now because he comes across as someone that loves the Nebraska program as much as we do.
Yeah, this was a big moment in the game and when he flashed up, went nuts…place went bonkers. Agree, fun to see him everywhere.

Just another John Higgins Crew reffed game. Players hammered and no call then a BS call. So inconsistent. Fred Hoiberg was far from happy with how they called the game and he rarely complains. Both Maryland & Nebraska fans complaining, and they both have valid complaints.
Total shit show. Some obvious fouls that don’t get called and then it is a ticky tack situation to apparently make up for it. It was hard to watch the entire game. Was fun to see the crowd go bonkers with appreciation.
