Guys,

Getting to where we want to get means that teams like Indiana should be a minor speed bump that gets rolled over by the monster truck we are driving. The only thing they did was add a coach with a track record of winning and confidence.

Otherwise Nebraska has out recruited them every year since the dawn of time. We brought in better players from the portal. Our players practice at better facilities. Our players would start on every unit of theirs. Which starter on Indiana would you trade one of our starters for? Maybe one? But definitely not a bunch of them.

Let's not build them up to be something they are not. They brought in a bunch of James Madison players. If Rhule did that we'd be fucking pissed. (Unless it was their long snapper)

Now I know we aren't exactly the monster truck I described earlier but compared to Indiana we are. Illinois and Rutgers are better than Indiana. So is Colorado.

yeah they had an ooc schedule that would make Bill Snyder blush plus they have played 3 of the weakest teams in the B1G.

Dline sets the tone early like against CU, and Nebraska takes care of business.

35-24 Nebraska

Indiana is solid 7-5ish team. They are just playing a garbage schedule so may be able to get 9-10 wins. They have been getting a lot of flowers, I feel like Nebraska has the mental edge is gonna come out and play as close to a complete game as we have seen thus far this season. We can finally get the bowl game monkey off the back, go get beatdown by OSU, and then go play free. the rest of the season.

Damon and Ravi went into cignettis presser and attitude in their first segment today. The dude is just a cocky douchebag. He is quickly going to wear down other coaches/fanbases to the point the rest of the league will just want to curbstomp Indiana.

I'm worried that they are going to use a quick strike passing game to neuter our DL and also try to expose Gifford in the pass game. On the flip side, I don't think their LB's and secondary are that fast or athletic, so guys like Lloyd and Barney may cause some problems for them on sweeps or getting them the ball in space. I think it is time for NU to actually play 4 quarters of good football and go get a win.

I also think that Rhule prefers playing on the road. Obviously our 1 road game thus far was ugly in the first half, but that wasn't all on the offense - they moved the ball with ease. I think this could be a very big game for us.

This is word for word what Nebraska fans have been saying since we've joined the BIG.

We always out recruit everyone in the West and we still lose more often than not though.

IU is actually probably better than CU. On the lines IU is better, RB IU better, defense IU better. QB/WR CU better.

IU is probably better that Rutgers besides maybe RB. IU probably better than ILL.

Now, this is a game Rhule has to win to keep pushing the narrative that the Nebraska program is getting better. It also gets the no bowl game, no winning record, no top 25 win since 2016 off our backs. Also gets the cherry picked stat Rhule never beats top 25 teams off his back.

I'm hoping our D smacks em right in the face and catches them off guard early, since I don't think they'll have seen anything of the caliber we got yet, especially on the DL. Would be fantastic to have T-Hill back with C-Wright to lock down a couple of receivers every snap, too.

You a bitch bro

NU 41
IU 13

Don't think this one will ever be in doubt for NU. They'll start fast and never look back.

I'm starting to feel way to confident about this game. I'm not sure that Indiana is even in the top half of our toughest games so far. Illinois, Rutgers and Colorado are all better than Indiana...

I'm just annoyed by the double standard people are using to judge each team. We've played 3 pretty solid teams so far:
  • Colorado (when they were 100% healthy)
  • Illinois (when UI played best game of their season)
  • Rutgers (when they were 4-0 w momentum)
Those 3 are better than any of Indiana's 6 opponents. And w one pass to Lindemeyer we are 6-0 and 3-0 vs those teams. Indiana's 2 best wins are MD and NW - two very shitty teams. And both were close games going into the 4th Q.

Hot take: there ain't a big difference between Purdue and Maryland. They're the same team. Yet Indiana's win AT HOME over Maryland is "heroic" and "impressive" and Nebraska's win on the road at Purdue is "pathetic" and "concerning." They're the same quality of win. The exact same.

It just feels like people are way over valuing Indiana's wins and way undervaluing Nebraska's wins. And a lot of this is coming from our own fans BTW. It's annoyed me to the point where I now think Nebraska will win by 10-14, fairly comfortably.

Aren't you using a double standard in saying we're one pass away from beating Illinois? If that's the logic then we're one easy dropped pass from losing to Rutgers.

I'm saying if we complete that pass then we're 6-0 and this game would be looked at completely differently. BUT we'd still be the same (flawed) team. Tons of media would be picking us AND the line would probably be a pick 'em. Or maybe Indiana -1. The line is actually Indiana -6.5 because no one has any faith in Nebraska. I believe NU is being under valued.

Just looking at W-L without context can get you into trouble. Indiana is 6-0 therefore they are looked at as a very very good team. Nebraska at 5-1 is looked at as very flawed. But let's be honest, Nebraska is about equal to Indiana, if not -1 to -3 pts better. (I believe)

I wasn't saying we should get magic credit pts for the Lindemeyer pass....I'm saying if that one play is different, then this game would be looked at completely differently. But it shouldn't be.

None of the talk matters. Just win tomorrow

Figured we'd kickoff the weekend with a bit of Hoosier hysteria.

Slight correction: I think it matters in that it's a great thing for us (and Rhule).

It's a complete gift for Rhule. You don't often get to be a +6.5 pt underdog vs a team you're equal to or slightly better than. It's rare that Vegas misvalues your team like that - you have to take advantage of it when you get it.

Rhule couldn't have asked for a better set up for a game. Road game underdog is a much better set up for this team at this point in time than homefield favorite.

It's really just because one team is Nebraska and the other is Indiana

Our wins are unimpressive (for Nebraska)
Indiana's wins are impressive (for Indiana)
