That’s actually a bold take as well.
Offense was stinking it up H2 when he got hurt
I don’t think it’s that bold. Sure, got for it in 4th and 1. Outside of that, it didn’t see may miscues on play calls.

You don’t ask your true freshman back up QB to do a whole lot when you believe your “all American RB” can not slip on 4th down.

A blind person could see that we win if Raiola doesn’t get hurt. USC sold out on the run the moment Lateef came in.

All of you casuals who don’t actually know ball will blame Rhule and Dana without using any critical thinking.
Look there’s plenty of blame to go around in this game. If people want to be upset at another opportunity missed at winning a “big game” I get it.

But due to the aforementioned reasons this is not an epic program changing loss. Individuals who should know better should refrain from losing their minds and acting as if the season is over.

Hate to break it to those individuals, this team was NEVER going to the playoff this season. Too many flaws. The play was always to improve this year and make their run next season.

I don’t think anyone’s saying it’s a program changing loss. However it is a giant missed opportunity and 95% of that is because of lack luster coaching in all phases.

8-4/9-3 this year with a run next year in the idea. Capitalize on year 3 Raiola.

Against that schedule? Not gonna happen next year either.

The peak of this team right now is 7 wins.
May not be favored in any games the rest of the way.

Year 3 of Rhule.
Year 4 will be lucky to get 6 wins with the schedule.
So are we just supposed to sit here and go well year 5 is the year?

Yes.

And don’t talk about it, either.

I just patently disagree that greater than 9/10 of the variance could be explained by lack luster coaching in all phases.

Were there some blunders? Sure. Riley certainly had one throwing 3 times in the redzone after gashing us on the ground in the first half.

I think this missed “big opportunity” (opportunity for what exactly? A chance to get our ass kicked in the playoffs?) is significantly more explained by Raiola’s injury + fumble. No need to lose our minds about the Rhule regime over this game.

At least the mythical year three of Rhule can die. I don’t know which loss is more embarrassing, this or Minny
Come on man, it’s clearly minny. Think with your head, we were a 4.5 dog Lost by 4 without either starting tackle and without your starting QB. Lot of things to hate about this game but to compare it to the minny debacle is prisoner of the moment.
