Game Thread Nebraska v Biff's Butthole Surfers

Since my local CBS is showing an FCS game, my choices are:

CBS app, which I can use free since I pay for Dish and my Dish account gets me live CBS. Main problem is that the CBS app will likely get my the local CBS stream/broadcast, which would be the FCS game not the Nebraska game. The FCS game starts at 1 so I have 30 minutes to see what game will be shown on the CBS app before our game starts.

Paramount +: Probably the safest option, but I'd have to sign up for the free trial, which I am not sure it is actually free, or if I get charged but have 30 days to cancel for refund. But much more likely than the CBS app of having the NU game instead of my local CBS feed of a FCS game.

The tvapp: Yes I know the actual URL, not gonna type it out here. I have already tried several current games on my TV running on Nvidia Shield on an actual browser with thetvapp. All the games work, are at least watchable (defenition is maaaybe 720P), no buffering and no popups on thetvapp. At least not for all of the current games on there is no buffering or cutouts that I have tried. The game would be decently watchable with thetvapp option I think. I'd rather watch in higher def though.

I’d assume the CBS app will give you the option to watch either game but I could be wrong.

During week zero, there was a game I wanted to watch on CBS, but it was preempted for preseason NFL. Turned on Paramount+ and clicked on the college football game, but it still came up NFL because it just streams your local station.

Possible that Big 10 has a deal that allows game to be shown directly on P+, but you probably won’t know until you try.

Yeah that's what I am hoping. Using the CBS app is the easiest since it is free because I pay for CBS on Dish. I will be checking that option here in.... 7 minutes, which is when the FCS game starts on my local CBS station.

If CBS app isn't an option, then I will do the sign up for Paramount +. Since that will likely take 5 or 10 minutes, I want to do that before the Husker game starts obviously. Still no "guarantee" that the Husker game will be on there instead of the local FCS game, but a much better chance than just the CBS app I think.

If both of those ore fails, it will be thetvapp as the final option, which should work, but a lot lower def stream.
