Game Thread Nebraska @ UCLA (Saturday, November 8, 8:00pm FOX)

No - was on Ambergris Caye with the wife and some of our friends. There is a Husker bar in San Pedro, but we just watched the game from our condo. Ran into a large group from Omaha Friday night at the Truck Stop.

The large group from Omaha.

We stayed here for four days as part of our honeymoon and it's my favorite place that I've ever been.

Very nice. Looks like a great spot.

Is Belize a great deal at this time of year?
I wouldn't say cheap af like Ford said but not bad for a vacation like that. Sounds like I was in more of a touristy location than him too. I'd say all in with flights, food/drinks, room, excursions, golf cart we spent 6kish per couple.

I'm sure you could do it cheaper. Especially on the food/drink portion. We ate out every meal and drank gallons.

It’s pretty much always cheap AF, but go to the jungle it’s more fun.
We were contemplating a move to either Belize, Costa Rica or Panama a dozen years ago. Spent a total of ten days and 1,600 kilometers of driving a Land Cruiser all over the mainland before heading over to Ambergris Caye to close out the trip. Placentia to the south, and then up to San Ignacio in the hills, then took the boat over the Ambergis (flew back - did the boat trip for the experience - it sucked). Crazy low cost-of-living down there compared to here, but we just couldn't envision ourselves living there. Fun place to visit, though.

I would agree with that. Could spend a month or so there over the winter. That would be enough.
I did 3 btwn Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize. Then back to Belize and Honduras most years w/ a Guate trip thrown in 1 more time. I love the cowboy wilderness feel of Belize, and the Island living on Roatan in Honduras. Did a fun sail with 6 of us from Roatan to Livingston (Guatemala's only creole feeling town) and then up the Rio Dulce. I love all of it. When I traveled for 3 months I kept a very sharp machete on my back at all times until reaching destination.
