Crazy how all of us, myself included, were so far off on Watson-Trent and Van Poppel. I thought Watson - Trent would be a 7 to 10 tackles per game type of player and Van Poppel would push for All-Conference level production.

Watson-Trent being better would really help our defense. That has been one of my biggest disappointments from the transfer portal.

I think we all wanted RVP to be last year's Ty but he is more like RS Soph Ty. I think he will get there.

Watson has completely disappeared too. I don’t know that I’ve even seen him play lately

Van Poppel looks totally underwhelming

He's actually played a lot the last couple of weeks. The fact you haven't seen him is really more an indictment of his play. He did make one nice stop vs. UCLA, but he's made more bad plays that good.

Its just a hunch, but I think he came here, got paid, got engaged to his long time girlfriend, and then officially stopped working hard.
