D wasn't great, but they played well enough for us to win if the offense is putting up an average number of points and staying on the field long enough for the D to catch their breaths.

Me tinks the distraction of having Rhule’s name bandied about for the PSU job fucked with our game prep and psyche. We’ve looked lackluster all night long. Give credit to MN - they’ve executed perfectly, but PSU firing Franklin definitely impacted this game.

Rhule gushed over his alma mater all week in the press and had all of the national media declaring he was desperate for the job as a result. It was poorly handled on his part. It was a huge distraction.

Honestly, this is not wrong.

Trace Armstrong/Rhule/Kraft concocted this stupid plan all week to get leverage for Rhule and to give cover to Kraft.

It's a huge misstep that Rhule went along with it. Rhule wrecked this week for his team with this stupid performance.

This was going to be a tough week anyway after the short turnaround from the Maryland game. But the major distraction didn't help.

It's been quite embarrasing. But anymore, I don't get as worked up about these things. We just don't have a very good program, going on 10+ years. Longer actually for any national relevance.
