Nebraska H.S. Football Classifications for Next 2-Year Cycle

I'm not saying there shouldn't be a division. I'm just saying that enrollment numbers aren't the way to make the determination.
Enrollment is the fairest way to make the split.
If you have 2x the amount of boys available odds are heavily you will have a better team

The high school my kids will go to has 4,000 kids and will probably be pushing 5000 kids by the time they enter high school.
They’ll just keep adding on to the high school to create more room over building a new high school because shear numbers show you have greater odds to be successful in sports.

It seems Nebraska high schools have learned this. Lincoln shot its self in the foot by overbuilding when they started with North Star and Southwest

Has more to do with proportion of farm boys and the composition of the local water supply

It's going to be rough for the 2 new Lincoln schools moving up into class A. Northwest struggled in B.

They should fair better. Standing Bear will see more and faster success than Lincoln Northwest. Standing Bear has a decent amount of talent, but severely lack speed. Lincoln Northwest will be in that 1 to 3 win range until the current 7th graders get into high school.

It'll come down to scheduling. Us, Lincoln NW, Standing Bear, and Lincoln SW have agreed to play each other. We'll see if that happens.

That lowest tier of Omaha Northwest, Bryan, Benson, you show up, snap the ball and hand off you win. Those teams are extremely bad with no athletes or fundamentals.

Omaha South and Bellevue East are slightly better than that aforementioned tier.

We heard Lincoln High and Lincoln NE don't want to play that group of Lincoln schools and requested the Omaha bottom feeders.

Brownell-Talbot: Weelll Muffy darling; occasionally we'll have to play with the peasants, I know its unnnnseeemly; but we have to make nice.
Meanwhile tell Juniooor were are absolutely going to Cambridge and Kings College to play Sidwell Friends in cricket.

Standing Bear has a heck of a head coach and has been able to pull some young talent over. They are going to be one of the better Lincoln programs sooner rather than later.

Elkhorn continues to get the raw deal for schools in the district.

I went to my youngest sisters choir concert last night and the amount of students in all choir and band sections was maybe what one class would have been when I was there 12 years ago

I just dont get why its based on enrollment.

Omaha Northwest is
3-51 since 2018
12-160 since 2005

In comparison,

Elkhorn has been Class A 4 years and is 20-17 in those years

What are we doing? Skutt, Elkhorn, Grenta, etc cant take their place?

What is going on there? 217 a typo?
They have that many boys in the school but maybe 30 of them will go out for football.....maybe. Then of that 30, there just is no success, and they are not a competitive group.....so they were permitted to opt into Class C2 and remain playoff eligible.

(They won't make the playoffs)
