You are likely right. I think his thumb has been banged up for a bit already, along with his shoulder. Part of the reason he has been holding the ball longer of late.

We will see if he can play, and if he does, how effective he will be. Not feeling confident we can protect him well enough to keep him on the field even if he does play. Will find out though.
