In Nebraska

October - perfect weather, heart of the football season and baseball playoffs
September - football and good weather
June - Typically love June weather in NEB
November - football, thanksgiving, weather isn't complete shit yet
August - still summer, and football is around the corner
December - Still football, Christmas, but weather sucks
March - March Madness , winter coming to an end
July - bad sports month, but it's still summer
April - Winter is over, Masters, NFL draft
May- Rains too damn much here in May , bad sports month
January - only redeeming quality about JAN is football is still going on, weather sucks
February - football over in FEB, Valentines Day sucks, and worst month NEB weather

Nov- most bugs dead, leaves down and deer rut

Dec- deer hunting is great in the cold on food sources while sitting in my Redneck Blinds with or without my kids

Oct- deer hunting ramps up and pre rut hits , harvest

March- shoot some coyotes, find shed deer antlers and it’s still cold which is great, Ice fish

Feb- shoot coyotes, ice fish

Jan- little deer hunting left, shoot coyotes, ice fish

Sept- football, weather is cooling, deer season begins

April- plant crops for the deer, fishing, Turkey hunting, still cool outside

May- still planting plots for deer, can be mild temps still, fishing

June- fish, too hot

July- way too hot

Aug- way too hot

Early season deer is my favorite season of the year, then rut time. Then elk rut. Then ice fishing. Then May/June is my best open water fishing. March and July everything is pretty much dead for me.

We may not see 5 days of sun from December to February out here. It can really wear on you. Only Christmas saves December and we usually get some lake effect snow which is very pretty. Spring is too hit and miss to rank ahead of summer. Plus, our summers aren't as hot as some other Midwestern areas. January just sucks for both work and weather. I'd gladly just skip it.

-----------above months the goat by far. Football, nice weather, deer season, Thanksgiving, Christmas, I'm pumped just thinking about it. September is only #1 because nothing beats week one college football

August
July
June
---------summer holidays, build up to football season. Decent but doesn't hold a candle to fall.

May
April
March
----------tolerable

January
February
----------not much going for these months honestly
