I think that sometime during the week and definitely starting after Friday we will see some attrition and have some names hit the old portal. Some might happen before Friday if they feel like they won't play in the game.

I think a few names will be encouraged to leave like....

Yant
Jackson Hannah
Wildeman
Chase Contrerez
Cerni

And others who might just feel like bouncing...

Nadab Joseph


And others that I will hate to see go because their time is coming next year....

Nixon
Alante Brown
Marvin Scott III

And we will get a surprise too (in a bad way)

A freshman WR or two
Maybe Oliver Martin as well
Javin Wright for medical reasons


I also think Allen, CTB and Daniels will opt for the NFL. I am convinced that Adrian will return and if he does Cam Jurgens will stay but if Adrian moves on (I hope he will) then Cam will try the NFL.

There will probably be a few more walk-ons that leave too. What do you guys think?

I was on RSS years ago but got banned for making a comment about K Jordan Congdon (that's how long ago) playing again in California after he said he was quitting to help an uncle or something like that. Roz booted me.

In fairness, up until recently there was a pretty high success rate with that strategy. I think it's safe to say that historically our best specialists have started as walk ons from Nebraska. Henery and Foltz (RIP) off the top of my head.

Henery was fucking filthy at the end of his career. Still blows my mind he didn't make it in the NFL.

Yea, Pius and then UNO. He was there when the program was shut down. IIRC he tried coming to Nebraska but there was some weird transfer rule that put the kabosh on that. He went to Missouri Western I think for a year and then went pro.
