Not saying the guys they took this week aren’t athletic enough to be D1 athletes. But when your only competition is Eastern Illinois, maybe be patient and evaluate them in pads in a live game setting with the bullets flying.
Offering these reaches after a shorts and t-shirt non contact camp is just crazy to me. We coulda waited and sent a guy to one of Callen Barta’s first games this fall and if he looks the part live in a game offer him after the game
An NFL combine like setting will only tell you so much. I remember how good Jamie Nance and Demaryion Houston were going to be because of their track times
