I signed up for them, maybe the offseason before Riley's last year just to see what the hubbub was on RSS. I think it was an OL or someone named Chris Walker that committed, and I casually posted someone thing like "cool, hope he pans out" or something to that effect. Got raked over coals. So from that point, I went full troll mode and full Riley fan. Needless to say, that lasted about two days then their admin refunded me my 5 bucks and basically said pound sand.

Just wondering if anyone else signed up for them, or if they exist like that anymore?

What ever happened to Big Red Board, anyway? They were like... Stalinists for Callahan or something. Drink the Kool-Aid or else!

Some members left and started another board, i think it was called huskerfanclub or something

after that the board just gradually died and was shut down a year or two ago

Lol I still remember when that dumb fuck RedHour was talking about how Walker would start as soon as he got on campus.
Could’ve started at OT as a senior in HS…RedHour was his position coach I believe
That was a fun argument. What’s even funnier is message board morons believed him and ran with it.

So then the kids to Nebraska, can’t sniff it and those same morons blame it on the staff for lack of development when in reality he was a late offer to fill a spot

I ashamedly admit here that I was part of the start of Husker Power Hour. Back then, it was a bunch of us that were trying to get away from Rivals, as their Mods didn't want to allow any dissenting opinions. This was shortly after I had a falling out with them and stopped writing for them about the Baseball Team due to my negative opinions on Mike Anderson and that I felt like he was going to run the program into the ground eventually.

It actually was a decent place for a little while, but eventually Harold Hunter (H3) and his crew became exactly the people that they thought they were escaping when leaving Rivals. If you had a dissenting opinion, you were constantly mocked, etc... I knew several people on that board personally and they were good friends. I came to know another guy on the board fairly well that had moved to Texas with his wife. They went to all of the North Texans for Nebraska meeting and Harold Hunter took him and his wife under his wing. She posted on the board under the name of Froggie and I can't remember now what he went by. Anyway, he had a tough run of it professionally and Harold used that opportunity to use it against him and had an affair with his wife. Harold did pretty well for himself financially as a Lawyer, which was a huge draw to this girl (if you ever saw Harold's grill, you'd know that looks weren't what was going to attract anyone to him).

Eventually a bunch of us got fed up with the board and we left and created our own board called Huskertalk. It was supposed to have plenty of good inside information, but also allow for open talk. Like a lot of places, a few keyboard warriors took over, starting on their off-topic board, and ran off most of the good posters. Eventually the domain was just not renewed and it went the way of the dinosaurs.

I love Husker message board history. So is HPH still going?

Makes me really appreciate tPB a shit ton. The fucking IRL drama with some of these boards is off the charts.
