We’re playing against the Cockeye in case you hadn’t noticed. Bout to lose. K enjoy

They played well last night. Cockeye blew out Michigan St by 26 and we kept it to 10 points. We just don't have the horses in the post to compete in the B1G if we aren't hitting our outside shots. Fred has to get some big bodies that can rebound and block shots on defense yet at least have enough offensive game that they have to be guarded 10-15 feet from the basket. JUCO Center should help next season and Walker could come back. Walker is a very cerebral player and really understands positioning & spacing on Offense and Defense. However he is not a threat offensively if he is more than 5 feet from the basket plus not a Shot Blocker or big physical body on defense. He would be a nice Back Up Post to have on the team. Andre still has so much development when it comes to footwork plus has suspect hands. Plays with heart but the game doesn't come easy to him. Losing Banton late in process to the NBA really hurt as he was the only real PG/Facilitator we had. Plus he is 6-9 with long arms which really helps disrupt Guards from making easy entry passes to Centers who can position close to the basket because Walker can't front them because they tower over him. Trey, Verge and Webster are not true PG's as they are more Combo or Shooting Guards. Verge should be playing in the And 1 Basketball League.

I noticed Keisei didn't play last night. We basically kept it at a 8 Man Rotation using a 3 Man Bench (Wilcher, Andre, Webster). I think Lat is a complete disappointment but Fred doesn't have anyone else to put in there that can cover a Forward. It will be interesting to see who moves on and what they are able to add to this recruiting class. Hopefully we can add at least 1 more big athlete to help in the Post. Tired of getting pushed around by these B1G teams that all seem to find a way to recruit monsters for Centers.

Ed will show flashes but he’s still raw. I hope we stick with him & he sticks with us bc he could become a very good player
He had a stretch in the 1st half where he was extremely disruptive defensively & was snatching rebounds like Rodman
His hands & comfort level playing off another in 2 man game has a ways to go. I’d love to see where he’s at developmentally in 2 years. Hopefully he takes a leap forward next yr & really works in the off season
Walker is solid & efficient but is out gunned inside
Ed has potential to be dominant & we probably see a bigger lineup next year that attempts to go inside out
We won’t be near as guard dependent next yr bc Verge & the McGowins’ will be gone
It may not look like anything Hoiberg has done offensively before next yr bc our best players will be Walker (if he comes back), Goggles, Kieta & potentially Ed.
They need to find a PG & a scoring (long) wing in the transfer portal. We can’t be rolling out under 6’4 guys as our wing scorers, defensively u give up too much 1-3 in in the Big10 if those positions are occupied by short guys who have no physical strength
