Memorial Stadium Atmosphere (2 Viewers)

September 7th, 2024, at 6:30 PM Central Time the Colorado Buffaloes will walk through the southwest corner of memorial stadium and into a living hellscape.

I tend to believe that this will be one of the best atmosphere's the stadium has seen in some time. Fueled with the fact of all the noise from last year turning our coach into a bad guy, Colorado fans being able to talk shit after whipping us has burned in our bellies. A night game will make for a rowdy drunken corn-fed crowd where the Nebraska niceness will be checked at the door. I truly believe Prime has no clue what he and his team are walking into and if we whoop them, I can't wait to see the narrative and how they cry about our fans.

Bings me to my point fellas: How crazy do you think this game will be? Do you think we will do anything special for the game or would you like us to? (blackout is off the table in my opinion due to that being their colors) Any memories from the other "notable" atmosphere games (Miami, Oregon, Michigan)? Any other games fall under the radar for how loud the crowd was?

It seems like in so many of these big games the team itself takes the crowd out of the game by mistakes or giving up a big lead. It needs to be like the 1994 or 1992 CU games in never allowing CU momentum.

And in response to your original tweet, I felt like during Nebrasketball games they did a decent job of getting the crowd into it. Some of the clips they would play during the basketball games were great at keeping people engaged.

Yes and no.

Don’t get rid of Sirius, but work on better pump up videos leading to it. The “I play for Nebraska” were great.

Need better music during breaks. No one gives a crap about what music you play in the 11 AM games, but night and even 2:30 games, pump that music up with pump up music.

Same with the marching band. If you’re the half time show for an evening or a big game, for the love of God, no one gives a crap about 60’s covers. Did they not watch Drumline with Nick Cannon in it?

I feel like the tunnel walk used to be a pretty good amp up for both fans and players and now it's very meh

I could also just be misremembering and felt differently bc of my age then and now
