Yeah, teams were blowing NIL money because there was an advantage to giving old-school NIL as long as it was paid out completely before July 1. The P4 is working now as if they are in a cap world paying people themselves. I know there is doubt about how House actually turns out, but it's is going to happen. In any event the P4 has basically insinuated that they will follow the proposed revenue sharing and NIL controls even if the House settlement crater. Schools are behaving that way, e.g., Oklahoma cutting the size of the athletic department staff and the AD's salary in order to be able to afford the cap.I see what you are saying. I might be 100% wrong but it looks like they have already moved on to the way things are going to be than the way things are currently this cycle with teams blowing money left and right and having to be responsible for that for the next four or five years.
Someone could challenge this in court but I think the P4 believes that the government will save them if they lose in court with some kind of anti-trust exemption.
