May Recruiting Thread

Also if he doesn’t start I assume Dom will just transfer him to another school
It is already too late to transfer most places and still be eligible the following season

Did he almost go to Arky out of high school.
Not really. He had an Arkansas offer out of high school, but he was considered a long-time Nebraska lean before committing to us.

Kinda wild to think, this soon-to-be college freshman committed to Bo Pelini on the same day Freedom Akinmoladun did.

Yeah I thought there was something that he liked Arkansas but the Arkansas baseball team didn’t want him playing football.

Did Dylan transfer to Georgia in June 2023?
Yes. Deadline was May 1 in Nebraska. In Arizona I think he’d have to sit out an entire year because this would be his second transfer.

In Georgia you need a “bona fide move” to be eligible. There are a number of pieces to the definition but it basically means the entire family must move to the new district, the old residence must be disposed of as well. If not you are ineligible for a year.

Ok, looks like they just offered -

Roy Mongo with the N. Sounds more like a guess.

"I just put in a prediction for Mekhi Nelson to choose Nebraska (60%). It's unlikely that Nelson will commit prior to his unofficial visit on 6/6-6/7 and possibly even before he takes an official visit, but there are strong coaching ties between Nelson and Barthel as well as Nebraska and St. Thomas More prep school."

Curious where things stand with this kid. All his predictions (including a Fong Bomb) are for Michigan but those was 6 months ago. According to 247 he has OVs scheduled to Purdue and Tennessee before his Nebraska visit on 6/21. Seems like a really solid prospect and I hope we can land him.
Pretty sure Fong Bombs expire after a month or two, until the next one is dropped.
