Looks like fundraising is going well.

JFC this program is dead. We are Kansas St light now
I'm not sure how you derived that from that tweet.

To give you an idea....Virginia had to beg for $10 mil in upgrades to get a football coach hired. Nebraska raised $100 Mil in the middle of a run of awful football teams and a complete change in the AD department.

It took this long

How long did it take? What was the timeline that would have made you happy to raise over $100 million
See post above you. This wouldn't have taken so long if he had a positive winning percentage

Right, it would have taken less time. But come on..you think K State could raise $100 million+ to upgrade football facilities if their team was this bad? Lol K State is a better program than Nebraska right now, it took them 2 years to raise the $50 million for the Shamrock Zone

Agree to disagree. At least they got the money. Hopefully it helps us win more.

Any truth to the rumor there were a couple of big swinging dicks that threatened to pull their pledge if Frost was fired? On the flip side, Moos being canned and replaced by TA had to have helped fundraising efforts.
Didn’t the Peeds donate quite a bit to get the project to break ground?
They are buddies with Davison/Frost, so I’d say that is highly probable
The people giving $ are very pro Frost.

I’m sorry, but this is the definition of searching for something to complain about.
Exactly right. Moving the goal posts to find something to be mad about. The money is raised during a pandemic, while the team is bad and they had to change AD departments. It will be open in 18 months.

Clearly for some reason...I have no idea why...this staff has concentrated on recruiting 2023 kids moreso than 2022 kids. Those 2023 kids will use this facility for 4-5 years. Nice recruiting tool. What staff will reap those benefits? Lol that remains to be seen.

But being mad about the football program doesn't warrant being upset about the athletic dept raising $100 million to build new facilities. Something that is needed. And no doubt takes a lot of work by people that have nothing to do with what happens on the football field.

You have a number of programs (like Miami, Florida St., and USC) that are massively behind in football facilities and have to date had a helluva time getting the funds to catch up. That's big part of why Jimbo left FSU and was one of the major negotiating things for Lincoln at USC. Nebraska's fundraising ability is unique in CFB, particularly given recent results.

Final $7M or something like that.

With that being said, Turd is very tight with big money people in Omaha who probably don't give a rat's ass who the coach is...so you never know.

There is a reason why Frost figuring his shit out would be a very good thing for the university.
