Let's just say Turd keeps Frost...

What do you say if you are Turd at his next interview with Sports Nightly? "Well, Scott has got his work cut out for him...The Illinois game was a tough loss but I believe they will bounce back (against Fordham and Buffalo, they better) and have a better game plan going into the coming weeks."

When what he really wants to say is..."I knew coming into this job that football was my #1 priority to get fixed and the showing Saturday was NOT what this program is about. Husker fans deserve better than what was on the field Saturday, with the entire off season to prepare this team for this game, the staff fell WELL short of expectations and I fully expect our coaches to take ownership of this embarrassing loss. If the football program doesn't improve week to week this season we could be looking at another rebuild. I know this isn't what Nebraska fans want BUT could be the only way our "Blue Blood" credibility in college football gets preserved." Maybe...

I'm not either BUT what do you do to quell donors, sponsors, boosters?
I can’t see them opening the check book anymore for this shitty product. Money always talks in the end. How many people will actually be in the stands at the Fordham game? 60-65k? That game will be the most depressing home opener in Husker history.

If he wins 3-4 games, I don’t think they can afford to not fire him.

With next year’s schedule and returning players, he won’t go to a bowl game. The decision will be obvious and recruiting will fall apart for the second year in a row.

Attendance at games will plummet as well.

If I were, say Rotella, I would seriously be looking at spending money elsewhere, Why keep supporting a losing program?

Also, what happens to S&C or Performance Nutrition if Frost gets fired or leaves, whatever...I would think Perf Nutr stays b/c it isn't Dave's fault...look at all the other sports, they are winning...S&C, Duval could be let go. Anyone connected to football could be. So I suppose Dave could be as well, but I think he has a better chance at staying due to running the entire Perf Nutr department.

If Duval is let go whatever. There are others just as good who can do his job.

I totally agree. He doesn’t have the same support he once did. If he loses this year he’s getting canned.

The recruiting thing won’t get talked about much, but that’s a HUGE deal. Frost and staff are gonna really struggle in that area going forward. they were easy to recruit against anyway…well yesterday helps nothing at all. Good luck selling the future now.

That's honestly my biggest fear at this point. Since Turd is AD now, I'm not sure he'd fire them since they have some skin in the new facility and S&C/Nutrition has actually been great, but I'm not sure they'd want to work for a new regime. They may just resign on their own and move on since it may not/didn't work.
