Let’s cut the bullshit. …

I once had a room mate that made me chili.
It was hormel chili and French cut green beans.
Don’t recommend

My oldest son thinks he is Bobby Flay. I mean his food is OK but guy thinks he's a food network star.

My wife's favorite comfort meal is Hormel turkey chili. The thought of it makes me want to puke...but if she is feeling under the weather, that's her go to...

My hot take - chili is overrated.

It's fine, but everyone acting like thick soup is food heaven are probably just not able to prepare a top tier food very well.

I'm going to be transparent here - I am going to be authentic with you boys...

Chili is not Chili without the beans

But I eat around the beans. I never eat them, but they have to be there.

This is the dumbest fuckin take

This is the way I look at it.

I'll eat chili with or without beans, just like I'll suck big tits or little tits.

Both are good and serve their purpose.

Have tried this and like it...wife doesn’t. Saw a recipe that won some big Texas Chile cook off and it included peanut butter. Use very little or it will take over. Not for everybody.
So Texas accepts peanut butter but not beans?
Maybe we shouldn't be looking at them as the arbitrator of what good chili is.

I make chili in a dutch oven on charcoal a few times a summer when camping.
I bake corn bread on top - using coals on the lid.
Beans always.
