I’m going with 2009. The 12-13 loss to Texas in the Big 12 Champship game felt what I imagine being pegged by monster dildo feeling like.

And while I didn’t much care for the loss to Va. Tech or ISU either…we at least had a dominating defense overall, so that felt good.

Won our bowl game and were mildly respectable.

10-4 with a bowl game win.

What say you?

When we were ranked against Wisconsin under Riley then it all derailed. I knew it was false success. But it still felt good at the time time.
Truth. Felt like a girl you were banging that you picked up at 2am and knew she wasn’t gonna be the same in the morning…fun at the time, but the walk of shame was coming.

2010 was the best team, but ending with a bowl loss to Washington left a sour note on the season. That was BS, should have played Cockeye in a bowl game until Big 12 got involved.

2009 or 2010 probably.

BUT, we haven't been Nebraska since 2001 from my perspective.

"Felt good about" can mean a lot of different things. The Bo years were much better than anything in the last two decades but most still didn't feel good about them because they were not TO level successful.

I felt good about regularly beating Cockeye and other teams we should. Felt bad about not holding our own vs better teams.

I was all on the Tanner Lee kool aid and was convinced we were going to win the West in 2017

The 2010 team. They should have been better and probably no worse than a 12-13 win team and in the conversation for a Natty in a year you would have avoided Bama.

Same. Would've loved to see Taylor without that ankle or foot injury he got at I think Missouri. Up to that point, he was making Defenses look like they were standing still.

A healthy Taylor that season, and we're probably looking at 11-1 with a Big 12 Championship. I'm still sick that we blew a 17-0 lead in the title game to OU .. and who can forget the Referee screw job at aTm .. that was the conference's big "fuck you" to Nebraska for leaving for the Big 10.

2010 was probably it. The loss to Texas was a pretty serious sad boner, but really felt like we were on the cusp. 2016 is close, but we also got worked badly twice. Still thought we were on the cusp going into 2017.

So basically if we throw out the 90s…The Mark Pelini years were our glory years.

Relevant. Records that look good on paper. Big losses in games that matter. And oh so close to something bigger.

Everyone be happy to have that back moving forward?

Everyone ok with relevance?

Or, is it Clemson/Bama success?
