Getting Faulk would be awesome. I know that some are in love with the idea of Brown but this could pay off in lots of the same ways Mickey does.

And Brown would still be a part of the program in some capacity, I assume.
It would likely take losing a defensive staff member

Is it your take that we aren't hiring an RB coach then? Tacking on to someone's current duties?
I think if we maintain the defensive staff you are looking at this as your most logical staff alignment

OC/QB Whip
RB Beckton
WR/TE Joseph
OL/TE Raiola

ST Busch

Basically you would probably have a GA working with the TEs as well. When they are working in group throw them in with the WRs and when they are working on blocking OL. Not ideal, but you have too many on your defensive staff.

If you lose Dawson, Ruud or T you slide them around Chins takes OLBs. Busch coaches ST. If you lose Fish Busch becomes your DB/ST.

In any situation where you lose a defensive coach you hire a RB coach and keep Beckton.

The big boy move would be when the dust settles and it is clear you are retaining everybody on your staff. You let Ruud go and make the move. I just hate the idea of letting a good coach go, but you need to win.

Fisher out, insert. Busch as DB/STC, hire a RB coach
Ya I thought it was interesting.... Gary Sharp apparently asked Fisher about changing jobs 2 years ago and GS read was he was more likely to go to the NFL than another college. Apparently he really likes it here in Nebraska.

The one coach I have kept an eye on is Dawson. I get the sense with how ST was this year he may just want to go back to the NFL.

I think T and Ruud are here.

Chins is about to make 7 figs so that will eliminate a lot of schools from poaching him. If Frost would have been fired I wonder if Day would have hired him? Day got a great DC fwiw.

Fine with me if Fisher stays. Love that guy. Love that whole defensive staff.

Has salary info come out re: Whipple?

Yeah I really like ever coach on that staff. There is just 1 too many of them. The other thing about Fish is he is one of the highest paid DB only coaches. Most who are paid more are DCs/Pass D coordinator/AHC/RC/Co-DC. So unless he takes on more responsibilities it really narrows down who can target him. You are essentially talking SEC or NFL.

No, every number that has been speculated on is around 900-1 mil.

Well Fish isn’t going to Miami for sure, they hire Raymond “away” from LSU.

Bo's DB coaching hires were stupid fucking good (unsurprisingly given his background).

Charlton Warren: DB coach at UNC, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, and now DC at Indiana

Corey Raymond: DB coach at LSU for like a decade and now Florida

Terry Joseph: DB coach at Tennessee, UNC, ND, AtM, and now Texas

I thought he went to Florida

You are both right, he is going to Florida.

Marvin Sanders was a pretty good coach as well. Was he on with Pelini?

Bo‘s trajectory was bigly hamstrung by the move to the Big 10
