New deal for Kansas OC Andy Kotelnicki may be longest on record for an assistant
Kansas's offense was the most improved in FBS in 2022.

Sign Up Now!Leipold must not think so. I’m guessing he knows more than you. That dude is stealing money. This is Liepold's offense.
I know some have talked down about Leipold being the head man at Nebraska, but getting Kansas to 6 wins in year two is remarkable any way you look at it. Now we will see if he can keep building on what he has done so far.The KU Administration and coach are very happy. Lots of concern behind the scenes at KU about losing their OC or O Line Coach. If Leipold left they were considering him as a replacement. Didn't want to lose his offensive skills because basically that's what made them somewhat successful this season. Defense has been mediocre but O has been humming.

I think he has done great at Kansas. But he kinda is a One Hit Wonder when it comes to big boy football success. And even that has it's problems as once his generational QB went down they started losing. KU was worried his OC was going to leave which takes away part of their biggest strength which was his offense. Leipold is a risky hire as he doesn't have a proven track record of success or know how at the Power5 level. I like him as a coach but many including KU fans thought we could do better than Leipold. They thought Kleiman was a better coach than Leipold, and after the way the season played out they might be right.I know some have talked down about Leipold being the head man at Nebraska, but getting Kansas to 6 wins in year two is remarkable any way you look at it. If he has a good season next year his track record will be similar to Rhule’s. If Leipold was open to hiring a legit DC I think he could have done well at Nebraska. I hated Pelini's antics on the sideline and Leipolds are almost more embarrassing when it comes to yelling at refs. @alt f4 can probably chime in on that aspect of Leipolds coaching.
I think we got the right coach for our current situation. Rhule should mesh well with the fans and culture of Nebraska plus represent us well while bringing us back to winning.
I just can’t see Leipold and Kansas doing this unless Leipold is a huge believer in this guy.Or maybe he's hooking a dude up.
If by good, u mean a 10 win season then yea sure. I’d describe a 10 win season at Kansas as a Tony the Tiger greatIf he has a good season next year his track record will be similar to Rhule’s. If he got to 8-9 wins at Kansas next year that wouldn’t be much different than what Rhule did at Baylor. It might even be considered better because it’s much easier to get talent to Baylor than Kansas. The biggest knock on Leipold would be his age at 58.If by good, u mean a 10 win season then yea sure. Will be interesting to see what the Big 12 is after OU and Texas leave.
I was told by a KSU assistant AD that they estimate conference revenue is gonna be cut in half with losing the big 2 and then adding the new (more) mouths to feed.
Smaller pie, more slices + the Big 12 is gonna be hella negatively recruited against. It will be so far below the B1G and SEC.
Losing OU & Texas is going to absolutely kill the B12. They are going to end up being a tweener conference b/t G5 & P5. OU & Texas were the only reason they were getting the TV $$ they currently get. You take those schools out of the equation and no TV Network is giving a big-time deal. It doesn't matter who they are adding. OU & Texas was all the B12 had.
Just look at this chart below from an Athletic Article:
