Kansas Being Kansas . . .

Wow, that's less than the numbers that were being discussed with boosters but those numbers didn't include the clause with LL having a salary in the top half of the Big 12. He also got some commitments out of them for NIL and facilities upgrades. Probably smart for LL because the number on the table was $6.25/million/year. Coaches prices just gonna keep going up and up.

They have a great plan for the stadium, which will be multi use. One of their biggest boosters, the Illig's (owners of Sporting KC, Loch Lloyd Golf Course, Aqua Mats...... and previously Cerner) are involved with the stadium renovation. Their goal is to get it nice enough so soccer events like the World Cup qualifyings could be held there. Arrowhead is over 80,000 and Sporting KC's Stadium holds under 20,000 so they want something more in the middle size wise.

If KU could ever get their shit together for football the Illig's would dump some coin into it. They just haven't had the AD that instilled confidence or had a well thought out presentation for them. They have more money than they know what to do with.

Who was the KU media member on Twitter that was clowning us for low-balling our offer?

Fugg that guy. We're Nebraska, they're Kansas. Nuff said.

Happy for Lance. He seems pleased to be at KU, and they’re obviously pleased to have him there as well.
