Kind of the inverse of TO after Bob Father, his best talent has probably been last 5 ish years. Top class every year pretty much, wish he would have won the title this year as it was a fairly easy path IF we would have beat PSU.
I would say Cook underachieved relative to his talent level since 2017, especially since he had the number 1 ranked class pretty much everything year.
Interesting note on DBK her contract had a $1 buyout at Louisville to go to NU. We all knew it would be DBK when she signed on at Louisville.

Not necessarily critical just my personal hot take. NU has pretty much had the number 1 ranked VB class every year since 2017, the upcoming 2025 season will make it 8 years since our last title. You’d think with our recruiting we could have reasonably expected to win it about 1/3rd of the time IMO.
It would be like Saban going 8 years without a NC while also having the best class every year. Thats my only comparison, JC is definitely the GOAT of NU VB much like Terry laid the foundation. Very similar to the Bob Father building NU football and TO taking it over the top.
