I think my feeling was how shortsighted TW was being regarding having people with experience you can bounce ideas off of in the room. I get wanting control and the coach-ego aspect, but let's not kid ourselves, we were always bitching about coverage under TW.

The DB coach nug is new, though. Definitely something that would've pissed me off as well. Thanks.

I also hope we move away from the 3 man fronts. There isn't enough NT talent around us to play that defense.

I think we have pretty good personnel to roll out a 4 man front and not have to go find another Jack that is also hardly available to us.

You're lucky. I've gone through multiple dynasties, even putting my alma mater as NU (supposedly helps your chances for the job). Despite winning titles and conference championships, the best they offer is HC or OC at smaller schools or schools I can't stand.

was on my 4th dynasty in 26, they finally offered me the job after winning 3 national titles as HC at Florida Atlantic, it was actually a job downgrade at that point. lol

Knowing what we know now I'd have rather had him cutting his teeth as a DC this year than Butler. But I agree they need someone with legitimate experience now with the 2026 schedule looming.
