January Recruiting Thread

We really getting croots in January? Hopefully those soft-bottomed Husker gals are keeping them warm at night, because holy hannah ... it's cold out there!

This is a Tuesday morning follow-up to last week's report we had about Jahmal Banks, the wide receiver transfer out of Wake Forest.
Banks told Husker247 in a message exchange he is planning to visit Nebraska this weekend, setting out for Lincoln on Jan. 5 for a multiple day visit.
"Coaching staff, offensive scheme and Raiola," he said in a message about what intrigues him about the Huskers.
The mention of the incoming true freshman QB Dylan Raiola certainly will catch notice of Husker fans.
I've been told by those someone close to the Wake Forest program he's "super good dude" all around, so if this one does turn into a further possible addition Nebraska, it sounds like he would be a good locker room fit with other younger players.
Banks had 59 receptions for 563 yards and four touchdowns this past season. Overall, Banks has 107 receptions for 1,404 and 13 touchdowns in four seasons at Wake Forest.

Banks was one of the highest graded wide receivers in the ACC last season, according to Pro Football Focus. He finished the season with 77.6 offensive grade and a 78.5 receiving grade, both of which were top eight grades among ACC wide receivers in 2023.
From various other 247Sports reports, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound visited Minnesota, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Purdoodoo from December, and Michigan was also in the mix for a visit.

This is good to hear after Dean's report a few days ago that no visit had been officially scheduled yet.
