Sounds like Wisky leads for him
Minnesota DL Nehemiah Ombati builds even stronger connections with staff during Madison trip
MADISON, Wis.-- Shakopee (Minnesota) 2027 three-star defensive lineman Nehemiah Ombati camped with Wisconsin last Summer. A few months later, Ombati took a game day visit with the Badgers, receiving a scholarship offer from the Badgers.
And over the weekend, he made his return to Madison, this time for an extensive Junior Day visit with several other early names to know in the class.
"I thought my visit to Madison was pretty good, my biggest takeaway was not only the hospitality they treated me with but the personal connections I built with the coaches including Coach Tressel and Coach Whitlow," Ombati shared with
Badger247.
"I think Wisconsin's one of my top choices and a blessed opportunity, knowing that they were one of the first schools to buy into me. I spent lots of one-on-one meetings there: I had one with Coach Tressel, one with Coach #2ndChoice and one with Coach Whit."
Ombati started building these relationships last Summer, in a true workout setting at camp, getting pointers and tips from some of the staff. But now, Ombati is getting the message of how much Wisconsin really likes him in this process so far.
"Honestly, (their message is) that I'm one of the highest on their board and that they want it known that I'm a priority, which is very much a blessing. They made me really realize that my top choice needs to be the best choice or also in Coach #2ndChoice's words the "right"choice," Ombati detailed.
