Potrykus is my absolute least favorite of the B1G local beat writers. He is the biggest fuckin homer out of all of them (which is saying a lot).

Look at the way he takes the time to personally refute every single Badger fan who tweets anything negative about Gard in the replies. It's like he's doing damage control for the UW program. They should put him on the fuckin payroll!

I can't stand the guy during FB season either - the guy is a massive fuckin Badger FB fan but he's supposed to be an objective reporter for the Milwaukee journal sentinel (biggest newspaper in the state).

He's actually way worse. He's their Sam McKewon equivalent. Sam can come off negative or cautionary on NU when he does his radio spots. I think he's pretty objective about NU's FB/BB programs. I've heard Potrykus many times and he just literally talks about how awesome the Badger program is on every radio hit I've heard.

The Michigan, Michigan St, Illinois, Rutgers guys... even the Ohio St guys... those beat writers will actually rip their own local teams when they do these radio spots. The MSU guy is probably the best. Most of the bigger market guys are more objective and professional. Potrykus is at a big market paper but oddly enough he acts like a small town homer.
