I’m still trying to wrap my head around what we are doing in the secondary. My hunch is we’re going away from 3 safeties that play “left” and “right”, with a free/rover type position and into a more traditional free and strong, with a nickel replacing the rover. And with that, we needed to recruit more true corners.

But, I want to be excited about Hill, Sanders and Tarver. I want them to see the field. If we keep recruiting corners, I’m not sure what that’s signaling to them. Maybe Conn is purely a KC family addition and we’re bringing him on because of the message it tells the other kids we’re pursuing from that region. I hope that’s the case, as otherwise it tells me we whiffed on who’s on our roster except for Wright. We don’t need another developmental project.

I’d bet this is more of a KC connection get.
Mozee is respected down there, but the longer he’s out the more his name fades as a connection.
Need to strike while his name is hot and get everyone liking Nebraska
