No clue... Seems like he has improved. I also think Turd is more likely to give Fred more grace considering he is a pro.

Now he has lost a shit ton.

I think if NU had the same record it currently has w/o losing Gary & Banndoumel for the year, I would vote no.

I still don't know if I want Fred back, but he has improved this year and losing 2 starters would cripple almost any team.

I'm still wanting him. We need to improve recruiting but we are winning the games we are supposed to with some upsets mixed in. Even though 3 players out, 2 being starters, we are playing hard and look like a well coached team. Only 7 turnovers today and even though we were outsized we held the rebounding edge. Nate Loenser is a good defensive coach and it showed today. If Fred can get a 2-3 good players in the portal who can start to go with Gary, Keisei, Lawrence, Dawson & Blaise I think we will take another big step forward. Would love to add an athletic big that can rebound, defend & block shots plus at least 1 more legit 3 Pt Shooter.

I lean toward yes because of the injuries and lacking Walker at the start of the year, but Fred is gonna have to do work in the portal with the guys they're losing to avoid being unceremoniously canned next season

I think Hoiberg’s ceiling (yes, I know, hard to envision one currently) is higher than about anyone you could reasonably hire, IMO. And, knock on wood, he’ll actually have a roster returning next season with some actual continuity and freshman that are contributing in a big way.

I think he’ll cut ties with Wilcher and try and bring in another wing scorer. Love Wilcher’s shooting potential but his head is gone, it’s sad.

This may not be a popular take, but I completely agree with you. It's not as if Fred forgot how to coach once he showed up at Nebraska.

He also wants to be here it seems. Give him all the resources you can possibly can, and let him continue to build.

He fucked up by not getting rid of Matty A. sooner, but you can tell a HUGE difference from this year to the previous years. I'm convinced we'd be in the NIT this year if we'd have not had the injuries we've had.

I’m torn, I’m fine with him coming back but I tend to lean towards no.

For me it’s roster construction and less about results this year. I do think Fred has an eye for talent, but for whatever reason it hasn’t translated. We’re entering another offseason with a lot of reconstruction of the roster and plenty of questions. We can’t keep doing that year in and year out and expect it to work out long term. It could be stabilizing after the Matty A debacle, but usually you don’t get a second chance after something like that.

Regardless of which way they go, they need to stop making the schedule so difficult early in the year.

Breidenbach does not equal eye for talent nor does wilcher. Few misses but he’s had some hits too

Call me crazy, but I actually still like Breidenbach. Is he playing well right now? No. But I still love what he brings to the table. He needs to play (defense) under control a bit more. Look what he did against Cockeye - he killed them on the boards. I think with another year of growth and maturity he could really be used to expose some of the Big Ten bigs, pulling them away from the basket and opening things up for everyone.

He's a year removed from a major knee injury. Do I wish he was further along than he is? Yeah I do. Am I ready to give up on him or even Wilcher? No not yet

Wilcher is a lost cause for me. He was decent last year, but has seemingly regressed big time. It almost seems like he has the yipps or something...all his confidence seems to be gone.

That's pretty much where I'm at... I think he is best suited as the second or third guy off the bench like he was last year.
