I thought about that yesterday. Does the current Rivals board continue to operate under a new name and owner? Like when Huskers Illustrated seperated? Or does it get locked and deleted?

I'm guessing Rivals has a plan for new owners, hopefully Nate Clouse or someone better than Dean.

Reading between the lines it sure seems like Dean's staff is moving over and adding that other writer. When interested Nate was his best writer but the rest were uninspiring for the most part when it came to football knowledge and writing. Robin has improved at basketball over the years. Dean needs to improve overall content as it has fallen mightily over the years. Will be interesting to see who takes over the Husker Rivals site. Could it be Nate? Another appearance of Hoppen?

Matya adds absolutely nothing to the site and brings nothing to the table. He’s a glorified scroller who has the ability to pin the shitty article he writes from time to time to the top of the board.

If I were in Dean’s shoes, I’d go all in on Schaefer or Christopherson. If they told me no, I’d probably pivot back to Nate Clouse to be honest. Something tells me that bridge is totally burned and there’s no chance there. If I had to guess, I’d bet they got into a dispute over $$$$

I'm 95% sure that Callahan told the mods to hold off on their normal enforcement of no On3 talk in order to basically allow the news to get out to everyone on the board for a few hours. Any stragglers will either hear by word of mouth or the occasional reference to it on Rivals RSS until the switch happens. By nuking the thread within a few hours, though, he makes it difficult for Rivals to claim he was poaching should there be contractual provisions against such behavior. Pretty sharp, and it's exactly what I would have done in his shoes.

Sean was on the RRS board the whole time viewing the thread before it got nuked. There were a few screenshots of him viewing it, plus I peeked and he was viewing the thread within the last 10 minutes I did.
