Clearly Indiana is about to beat the shit out of Miami. When they do, should they be considered one of or the best college football teams of all time? Clearly IMO.

A more tantalizing question, let's say Nebraska had hired Cig, would the powers that b have given Cig enough autonomy to allow this level of success? Clearly not IMO. Like my grandpa used to say we could fuck up a wet dream.

Stuck in the past, unwilling to acknowledge adapting patterns of success. Naturally uninnovative people.

They will be considered one of the best teams of all time

A cognitive bias whereby people with a given name of ‘Huge Asshole’, posses limited competence in a given intellectual, and/or social domain, greatly overestimate their own knowledge or competence relative to objective criteria.

My argument against Indiana being the best all time is that we regularly hear that talent is being spread around more evenly in the NIL era, so the level of talent on even the best teams isn’t what it used to be.

That's really interesting. I can see in the old days where you might have to play a few more stacked opponents and face technically better teams. I could also see the argument that it's more difficult to separate yourself now with NIL in the way Indiana has this year.

I agree with this, but at the same time have to say the argument makes what Cignetti’s doing that much more impressive.
