1. The point of Husker Power is to fit a ground based rushing attack. Zach knows this. Frost knows this. Austin knows this. Tom knows this. Why are we doing all of this in the weight room, just to completely abandon any type on consistent rushing attempt, to throw it 80% of the time or pass block so Adrian can scramble, why? We are building road graders in the weight room, to pass pro most of the time, why?

2. smart ass answers aside, why does Frost look absolutely lost on the sidelines right now?

3. how in the actual fuck do you “prepare” for 9 months, come out in that shitty game plan, and say “we guessed wrong” and not make adjustments?

We literally looked the exact same yesterday, as the last 3 years….after everything we heard coming out of camp, how is that possible?

1. I'm not sure where you see road graders, but I sure didn't see any Saturday. The oline isn't improving, at least not at a demonstrable rate or level...that's pure narrative. Same inconsistency, same breakdowns, even still a shit snap that killed a drive.

2. Because he is lost. This isn't a smart ass answer. It's the truth. He looks lost because he clearly is (you answered your own question with your 3rd question).

3. You're not equipped to coach at the P5 level, let alone at a blue blood dangling by a thread to such status.

Lesson learned, hopefully. Camp doesn't really provide a lot of answers. Same as a spring game. Entertaining message board fodder, but ultimately, you're only testing yourself against yourself. If you're led by someone who is not capable, it's not going to be a very good test.

Just physically they look like road graders. Just a purely physical statement. I understand the rest still look sloppy. That’s on Austin

Frost's piss poor game management gets looked over way too often. has cost him at least 5 wins, not even taking into account the shit show that was saturday
He literally got fired up for the first time on the sideline with 5 minutes left in the game

After the first 2 offensive possessions I knew the “we gonna run dat ball so good” narrative was bullshit.

Holes usually weren’t there, RBs didn’t hit the holes when they did have them and the entire running game looked like a Mike Riley offense.

Like @slattimer said, saying they are running power was just to give Husker fans a boner but Saturday clearly showed they don’t practice power run game. It’s the Pelini offenses again where they try to be Jack of all offenses but end up being master of none.

in college you don’t have enough time (or the right athletes and intelligence level of your team) to be able to run everything successfully

Wish they would just find 3 things they are good at and run the absolute fuck out of it all off season and be able to execute it in a game. Just get good at some basic bitch run plays (don’t care the formation or blocking scheme) and get good at some high school level run pass options. At Nebraska you can still recruit good enough to win 6+ games by having good athletes out execute the other team. Don’t worry about beating Ohio State or OU, you need to worry about beating the bottom tier Big 10 teams and build up from there.

PS: a 3rd year starter at Center (and 4th year starter at QB) should be able to identify a defense and direct the OL on what to do if the defense is running a 4 man front…. I mean it’s a 4 man front, it ain’t some super secret unique defense

Bevis knew we were gonna come out running and schemed to stop it. Hell, TO’s run game used to get stuffed at times early in the game. The difference is, frost doesn’t stick with anything, the run game, a back up quarterback, nothing gets a chance to work it’s like he throws up his hands in fear.
