2023 schedule was nice

Minnesota and Indiana have had their schedules erased as well

2023+ schedules no longer showing conference games. Assuming this means the divisions are going away and new schedules are forthcoming.

How F'd are we?

Previous 2023 schedule (with conference games) for reference: https://hailvarsity.com/nebraska-football/schedule/2023

We're gonna go back to the Big 12, maybe ? Maybe Mountain West .. Must be getting desperate for that first Frosty 6 win season

Interesting. Will see how these conferences move to more of a pod schedule.

I’d like to see two teams you play every year and rotate the rest so that all teams in conference play each other every 3 or 4 years

not sure what a pod schedule is Fred, but years ago after my 4th intestine removal surgery I had to do a poop schedule that worked well thanks gbr !

Under the proposal, the conference schedule would drop from 9 games to 8 beginning in 2023.

Each team would play 3 protected rivals every year, then play the remainder of the league’s 10 opponents within 2-year cycles. The ninth game currently reserved for a conference opponent would ostensibly be filled by a member from the ACC/Pac-12 “Alliance” that was formed last offseason.

I think 3 protected is too many. Honestly outside of Ohio St v Michigan what other traditional game is that big of a deal?

I do think it’s a good idea to try and get the two best teams in the conference championship every year

Michigan Michigan State
Wisconsin Minnesota

Our protected games will pry be Cockeye, Wisconsin, and either Minnesota or Northwestern

I’m guessing

Fred, the only 3 things that needs protectin is -Wife, Kids, beer fridge gbr!

We HAVE to win the West this year
Otherwise our chances of making the conference title game again will take well over another decade (if ever)
We need the momentum from a favorable schedule this yr
Big10 is gonna schedule us against every East blueblood as often as they can bc even when we suck, we pull ratings
Won’t be able to “just win the division” anymore
It will take 1 or 2, loss conference seasons agsinst a gauntlet
We are light years away from that
